Non Resident Indian (NRI)

International/ Foreign

Students who are Indian Citizens who have written their qualifying examination from a school or college abroad and whose parent(s) work abroad.

Holds a Passport / Citizenship of a country other than India.

Holds an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) / PIO (Person of Indian Origin) card and also holds a Passport of a country other than India.

Holds an OCI card and has studied throughout in India.

Students from Nepal and Bhutan (need not have a local Passport).

Candidates should have studied in Regular, Full-time and Normal education mode with medium of instruction in English.

Indian Boards


  • Pass in 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board, with a minimum 75% aggregate marks.
  • Submission of Grade 11 and pre-board / prelims / model exam results of Grade 12 or completed Grade 12 results, for eligibility check.

University of Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Levels / Edexcel GCE ‘A’ Levels / British Examining Bodies


  • Minimum 2 / 3 subjects in the ‘A’ Levels and 5 Passes in the IGCSE / GCSE including English.
  • Minimum requirement is an average of ‘D’ grade.
  • AS level results + forecast / predicted or completed GCE ‘A’ level results, for eligibility check.

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma / (IB) Certificate


  • IB Diploma or IB Certificate with 3 subjects at HL and 3 subjects at SL with an overall minimum of 24 points.
  • Candidate should have secured an average of 4 points in the required subjects.
  • Submission of predicted or completed IB level results, for eligibility check.

  • It is mandatory for all International Applicants to register on the Study in India Portal.
  • To Register, use the link : "https://www.studyinindia.gov.in/admission/registrations".
  • Students will receive a unique ID, which is to be quoted in their visa application.
  • The Ministry of Home Affairs, India has introduced e-student visas for foreign students eligible for S1 and S3 visas, and also X visas for dependents. Registration and furnishing of a unique ID are mandatory.

    • SPDC – Scholarship Program for Diaspora Children – GCC & Nepal Students – (Reimbursement)
      • Students have to directly apply through the respective embassy. Please visit the portal http://spdcindia.gov.in/ for more information.
      • Tuition fee and Hostel fee and other Institutional charges are reimbursed to the Students.
      • The scheme is executed through EdCIL(India) Limited.
      • The candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or equivalent grades in aggregate of all the subjects in the qualifying examination
      • The candidates must have secured admission in a designated undergraduate course in one of the designated Institutions in India.
      • Only fresh year (First year) students will be eligible to get the scholarship.
      • The total monthly income of the parent(s) of the candidate/applicant should not exceed an amount equivalent to US Dollars Five Thousand (US $ 5000).
