The Department of Biotechnology introduced the BSc Biotechnology program in 2021, along with postgraduate education (MSc) in Biotechnology. Staffed with highly qualified faculty members holding doctorates and possessing extensive teaching and research experience in biotechnology, the department boasts advanced infrastructure to facilitate student learning and exploration of current scientific advancements.

Biotechnology, at its core, merges biology and technology to drive innovation and create products that enhance human life. From genetically modified materials to regenerative medicine, biotechnological innovations are revolutionizing sectors such as healthcare, food production, and energy.

The BSc Biotechnology program equips students with theoretical and practical knowledge through core courses covering diverse topics such as cell biology, microbiology, molecular biology, genetic engineering, and bioprocess technology. Skill-based subjects include isolation of plant organelles, biosurfactants, drug discovery, and immunology. The program emphasizes hands-on skills development and offers internships and projects to provide practical exposure and deepen understanding of advanced biotech concepts.
